Teroban baru yang dilakukan di Prodi PGMI IAIN Palopo yaitu Penerapkan Sistem Teknologi Barcode. Langkatersebut merupakan upaya menerapkan sistem pengelolaan yang berorientasi pada efektivitas dan efisiensi pengelolaan Prodi PGMI dalam upaya pewujudan visi, pelaksanaan misi, dan pencapaian tujuan serta memelihara integritas program studi.
Efektivitas dan efisiensi sistem tersebut, dapat ditinjau dari aksesibilitas data yang kecepatannya kurang dari dua menit.
Mengingat Sistem Teknologi Barcode yang diterapkan merupakan pengembangan inovasi, maka pihak pimpinan program studi dalam hal ini Dr. Edhy Rustan, M.Pd melakukan sosialisasi prosedur sistem pelayanan yang dimaksud. Beliau berharap agar program tersebut dapat memudahkan aksesibilitas data dalam sistem informasi serta menunjang prasarana administrasi.
Terkait rencana strategi pengembangan sistem informasi, di prodi PGMI kedepannya, akan diusahakan bersinergi dengan perkembangan teknologi yang ada. (ER/DI)
